Since 1972, the La Raza Athletic Association (LRAA) has served youth and families in the Oakland community by providing opportunities in athletics, mentorship, and education. Founded during a period of strong community organizing and cultural pride, LRAA has long been dedicated to creating positive spaces where young people can develop confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships.
Today, LRAA continues that tradition by supporting youth basketball programs and awarding scholarships to students pursuing higher education. Our programs are designed to strengthen community ties while helping the next generation reach their full potential.
Each year, our organization relies on the generosity of community partners, businesses, and individuals who believe in investing in young people.
