On July 19, 2025, our community came together at Just Dance Ballroom in Oakland for an unforgettable evening of celebration and support. The night featured a vibrant performance by Ballet Folklórico de Ricardo Velazquez, live music by Mystique with Mio Flores, and over 20 exciting raffle prizes. We proudly awarded $8,000 in scholarships to four outstanding local students, recognizing their achievements and bright futures. On July 20, 2024, our community gathered at Just Dance Ballroom in Oakland to celebrate the relaunch of the La Raza Athletic Association after decades of dormancy. The evening featured a keynote address by Oakland City Councilman Noel Gallo and lively music by the Funky Latin Orchestra, with LRAA’s own Mr. Mio Flores on timbales. The overwhelming interest and support from former participants helped reignite the organization’s mission and momentum.
